We do this by combining craftsmanship with the latest innovation in mattress technology, leading the way with organic natural materials, and never compromising on quality. Our commitment to craftsmanship and care for our customers hasn’t wavered after four decades.
Our Team
Our success is built on a team of passionate people. From three generations of craftspeople at our factory and showroom in Ballylanders, Co. Limerick, to the mattress experts at our Dublin showroom, like any family we know the important of trust. Our decades of experience and commitment to our customers means that our retailers, hotel partners and anyone that chooses a Natural Sleep product can rest assured they are in good hands.
Our Story
From Foundation to Future
Natural Sleep Co. was founded in 1983 in Ballylanders, Co. Limerick, by husband-and-wife team James Hayes and Mary Rose Fitzpatrick. From the beginning, the vision was simple - combine the best quality materials with craftsmanship and innovation, for a natural way to a great night’s sleep. Four decades later, that ethos continues to guide a multigenerational team of skilled craftspeople who handcraft every mattress in Natural Sleep's Co. Limerick workshop.
Today, Natural Sleep Co. is a leading name in Irish mattress design, trusted by luxury hotels and stocked in over 100 retailers across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Our Origin, Comfort and Premium mattress collections, along with our range of Bases and Headboards, set the standard for comfort and quality. Natural Sleep is also one of Ireland’s most established specialists in Adjustable Beds, offering customisable, made-to-order solutions that promote independence, better health and restorative sleep. Each is delivered and assembled in the home within two weeks.
In 2022, we launched our Organic Collection, the culmination of a lifetime’s work to create the most natural mattress possible. These hypoallergenic, chemical-free and naturally fire-retardant mattresses use only the finest certified organic materials, sustainable, breathable and consciously luxurious.
In Spring 2026, we launched a new look for Natural Sleep Co., and opened our first standalone brand showroom bringing all our collections together under one roof for the first time. We are excited to be taking the step into bricks and mortar at our Dublin showroom, and can't wait to introduce more people to a more natural approach to a great night's sleep!
